1.16 – That New New

The new release flow for 2017 is definitely getting itself going and the heat is really starting to roll out. First up is the brand nu nu from Migos. Sure “Bad and Boujee” is the #1 song in the country right now but “T-Shirt” is out now and it’s flames and so is the video. Next we’ve have a solo sighting from Syd of The Internet fame. Definitely a different side to what we’re used to from her but this is fly. Finally, in more ways the one, we’ve got new music from SZA and word of her new album will see the light of day soon. Peep all 3 in full below.

1.9 – That New New

It’s 2017 in case you didn’t notice and we’ve got a full week into the new year under our collective belts. What that ultimately means here is that TNN is back and we’ve got new music to share. First up is another new song from the xx, who have a new album dropping this upcoming Friday and have announced a full scale North American summer tour. Next, we’ve got a new slapper from Jazz Cartier that is one of the most club ready cuts he’s made. Finally, we’ve got a new school/old school RnB jam from Ace Tee out of Germany. No idea what she’s saying but the vibes are super fresh. Check out all 3 in full below.

Best of 2016 Pt. 2 – That New New

Here’s part 2 of our round up of the best in new music from 2016. Check out some personal choices below from DJ Ayres.

Best of 2016 Pt. 1 – That New New

2016 has been an incredible year for music. We’ve seen a steady stream of fire drop from the well knowns and the new kids on the block. Our “That New New” section has been dedicated to feature a lot of that cool new music that hits our radar. As we close out the year, it only makes sense to pick out some of our favorites here that held strong as 2016 rolled along. Breaking this up into 2 parts, here’s some TNN favorites from the first half of the year. Enjoy.

12.12 – That New New

TNN is back in the fold with only a couple more weeks to go before we say goodbye to 2016. As 4th quarter is doing it’s thing and we see big name albums dropping left and right, here’s some recent stuff that may have flown under the radar. First up, we’ve got a brand new EP from The-Dream. Love You To Death is a short 5 song release but it’s extremely focus and a strong end of the year look from an extremely talented artist. Second, we see a new single from Jazz Cartier. He’s part of this new wave of Canadian hip-hop artists that’s making major noise and this tune will only carry that narrative. Finally, we’ve got a new future dancehall cut from Noah Issa that feels like we’re getting a glimpse at a major story developing. Stream all 3 releases in full below.

11.28 – That New New

TNN is back this week after a week off and we’re officially closing out November as well as getting so close to the end of this tumultuous year. Some big guns have unloaded with new releases in the last week or so and there definitely seems to be a feel of nostalgic sounds in the air, at least in the pop world. First up this week is a new one from The Weeknd’s polarizing new LP. “A Lonely Night” is one of the many contributions from Max Martin on the album and easily one of the stand out cuts (*EDIT-Full album from The Weeknd has been added*). Next is a last week hold over from the retro fitted new (super short) Bruno Mars full length. “Finesse” sounds like it’s straight out of the Bell Biv Devoe catalog. Finally, we’ve got a cut from the recently dropped collab EP from Gucci Mane and Lil Uzi Vert. Stream all 3 in full below.

11.7 – That New New

TNN is back this week for the first Monday in November (jeezus it’s November already) and as always, there’s some cool new music to share. In what feels like a bit of a warm up week leading up to the 4th quarter impending rush of new releases, we’ve got a handful of noteworthy things to tied us over. First up is a new one from two of the biggest stars on the planet in Future and Drake. They toured together a good portion of the year and it’s a surprise to no one that they release more music together. Second, we’ve got a new one from Ninja Tune mainstay Bonobo who’s got a new album dropping right around the corner. This first single and video is a great first taste. Finally, we’ve got a full EP drop from Sluggers on Fool’s Gold, one of the more interesting names in currently in weird and banging house music. Check out all 3 releases below.

10.24 – That New New

TNN this week is here and in full effect. As always, interesting tunes dropping everywhere and we’ve got just 3 of them selected here for your listening enjoyment. First up is a dope new one from 2 Chainz with Quavo and Gucci Mane. The minimal piano loop from Mike Dean set all 3 of these dudes up to go off. Next up is D.R.A.M., who’s been a staple in this space lately, and his collab with Young Thug. This joint is predictably unpredictable. Finally, we’ve got an Alex Clare sighting. The U.K. singer has been quiet for a while and he’s back with his first new music in a couple years. Check out all 3 in full below.

10.17 – That New New

TNN sliding through this week with some great new music, including a couple of music videos accompanying these tunes. First up, we’ve got Solange and her “Cranes In The Sky” video. Definitely a favorite from her solid new album and this video is stunning. Next, we have a new on from Pusha T with Mike Will Made It on the beat. Definitely for the rap lovers out there as Pusha is just all about bars here. Finally, we see an interesting collab from RiFF RAFF and Skepta. Sounds a bit weird in theory but the execution is on point. Check out all 3 in full below.
