It took a minute, but I FINALLY got this remix of John Legend’s take on Adele’s monster hit polished up just hours before heading to the airport for my European jaunt. (A rougher version is on the promo mix I put up for the trip over here.) I’m starting a new mix series on my site called Heavy Warmup. I love this DJ slot, it’s the time of the night when people are getting their second drink, the dancefloor is just starting to fill up, and the DJ can tease the crowd with great forgotten jams and new secret weapons. Kenny Meez (Federation Sound) released a handful of great medleys and refixes in the late 90s which made it a whole lot easier to run dancehall for hip-hop crowds.
