Late Pass here, but DJ Ayres has kinda taken over the internet with the launch of his new podcast “Small Talk.” Ayres goes through his rolodex and interviews some of his favorite personalities in music and entertainment. Seriously, there are NO topics off limits here. We’re obsessed with these already.
The latest one featured one of our buddies Dances With White Girls. He’s one of the most unique personalities we know and this interview is just too good. Follow @dances on Twitter for pretty much the best feed in the game.
Now the 2nd podcast feautured The Kid Mero and it is kind of a phenomenon. This one is a must-listen. Download this shit for the train ride into the city.
The inaugural Podcast featured Los Angeles native and incredibly talented producer/DJ Them Jeans

Lot of buzz lately surrounding Yuna, whose recent collaboration with Pharrell on her debut album as put her on the map. DJ Ayres was asked to remix her track “Live Your Life” and did so with the help of NYC tastemaker and Rub collaborator Scott Melker. The result is sublime and is now available to download for free below.
On Sunday we played at our other favorite party, the Do-Over, at Dekalb Market in Brooklyn. The top secret lineup was Pete Rock, DJ Spinna, Monk One and The Rub, and over 2000 people came out despite a forecast for rain. But the weather held out and everyone slayed it, with The Rub batting clean up as the sun went down. Huge shouts to everyone who came out and danced, ate, had a drink or 6, and showed so much love. Be on the look out for another big party at Dekalb later this month. – DJ Ayres
Shout out to The Focus Camp for all of these photos!
